Scanners Many schools use OMR (Optical Mark Reading) in the past to mark/submit attendance and grades. It was the order of the day OMR readers were deigned/manufactured/supplied by DRS for SIMS/Capita Recently schools increasingly use PCs, Laptops, Pocket PCs to mark attendance/grades As OMR usage reduces, the cost of maintenance increases Some schools wish to continue to use the same process We offer an interesting option, where we provide the same process. Teachers can mark Attendance/Grade forms and scan them instead of using OMR readers to update attendance records. The advantages are Scanners are much cheaper, many costing about £ 20 Teachers can use scanners without an administrator having to do it Scanner use plain A4 sheet and not the OMR sheets that cost about 3 pence Scanned documents are read directly by School2000 Scanned documents may also be send as Email attachment Please ask for a sample attendance form
