Parents2010
- Parent
Communication is a mandatory in British schools. It has been made a legal
requirement since Jan 2010.
Why? Because Attendance, Homework, Grades and Behaviour improves when parents
have accurate and timely information about their children.

of Parent communication
- Since
parents may be legally separated, we allow two parents to have independent
access to a student's records.
- Parents
may be busy and not have the time. School2010 allows up to two
grandparents/guardians to access a student's records.
- Parents
have 24/7 access to their children's details
- Internet
access
- Parents
can access their children's progress over the Internet 24/7, 356
days/year. No breaks/holidays.
- Parents
can use any computer as access is Browser based
- Access
by Android Tablets is available from March 2012.
- Alerts
Alerts are
sent by Email. This is free. Alerts
can also be sent by Text (Maximum 140 letter/characters) when schools
contract a local Text/SMS service provider. Parents
are automatically alerted with any of the following occur.
- When
their children are Late/Absent.
- When
Homework/Fees are Published/Due/Late.
- When
Circulars are sent.
- When
parents are asked to meet Teachers/Headteachers after fixing an
appointment.
- Telephone
Interface
- This
option allows School2010 to be accessed from any Telephone
or Cell Phone.
- Attendance,
Homework and Grades are delivered as a voice message in their
preferred language.
- Telephone
Lines
- School2000/UK
provide telephone interface that allows (Analogue) Telephone lines
to be plugged in the School2010 computer.
- School2000/UK
do not provide the Telephone lines, which each school must provide.
- The
number of telephone interfaces provided is one for every part
of 500 students. So we provide 3 interfaces when there are 1050
students.
- Telephone
lines are used by the School2010 only when they are not
used (engaged). Parents usually call School2010 after school hours.
School2010 uses the telephone lines only when they are
not used by teachers.
- When
parents dial School2010, they pay for the call and there
is no cost to the school
- Why parents
like School2010
- They have
24/7 access and up to 4 parents and grandparents can communicate in
English and local/foreign languages.
- Parents
are automatically alerted. They don't have to keep visiting the Internet
or making frequent phone calls.
- Parents
prefer to know problem (in advance, from a machine) before they have
to meet teachers and staff members.
- The world
is getting International. School2010 keep parents in the picture
wherever they are in the world.
- Parent-Teachers
meetings which is only a few times in a year do not provide parents
with as much information.
- School2010
makes sure that the investment parents make in terms of fees, uniform,
books etc. is not wasted.
- Parents
are aware of any problem and can resolve it before it becomes serious
.
- Subscription
Parents understand this is a separate and independent service and schools
can never provide such a service and are prepared to pay the small monthly
subscription. There are no disappointing and unexpected results, which is
far more expensive compared to subscription for School2010.
