Fax Many schools used OMR (Optical Mark Reading) in the past to mark/submit attendance and grades. It was the order of the day OMR readers were deigned/manufactured/supplied by DRS for SIMS/Capita Recently schools increasingly use PCs, Laptops, Pocket PCs to mark attendance/grades As OMR usage reduces, the cost of purchase and maintenance increases Some schools wish to continue to use the same process We offer an interesting option, where we provide the facility to input/update attendance and grades by fax. Teachers mark Attendance/Grade forms and send them by fax to update attendance records in School2000. The advantages are Fax machines are not expensive, certainly much cheater than OMR readers Teachers can use this facility without the administrator having to do it Fax uses plain A4 sheet and not the OMR sheets that cost about 3 pence Sending attendance by Fax is a good way to mark attendance where students are taught offsite (away from the school) Please ask for a sample attendance form
