Fax
- Many schools used
OMR (Optical Mark Reading) in the past to mark/submit attendance and
grades. It was the order of the day
- OMR readers were
deigned/manufactured/supplied by DRS for SIMS/Capita
- Recently schools
increasingly use PCs, Laptops, Pocket PCs to mark attendance/grades
- As OMR usage reduces,
the cost of purchase and maintenance increases
- Some schools wish
to continue to use the same process
- We offer an interesting
option, where we provide the facility to input/update attendance and
grades by fax. Teachers mark Attendance/Grade forms and send them by
fax to update attendance records in School2000. The advantages
are
- Fax machines
are not expensive, certainly much cheater than OMR readers
- Teachers
can use this facility without the administrator having to do it
- Fax uses
plain A4 sheet and not the OMR sheets that cost about 3 pence
- Sending attendance
by Fax is a good way to mark attendance where students are taught
offsite (away from the school)
- Please ask for
a sample attendance form
