School2000 is managed by post graduates, graduate engineers, patent holders, linguists and scientists, with more than 100 man-years International experience. We design, extend and expand existing and new applications that go beyond PCs, Telephones and PDAs. We seamlessly integrate the following divergent technologies and devices to existing, new and custom-designed applications.

The following are particularly relevant to schools

  1. PCs, Laptops, Tablet-PCs and Pocket-PCs on wired and wireless network, and Intranet
  2. Off-line devices such as Palm2000 update and synchronise with School2000 over cables, cradles and Infrared
  3. Telephones that accept and receive calls. They also deliver voice prompts/messages (in different languages) and accepts user response
  4. Mobile phones that deliver voice-messages (in different languages), text messages and alerts (in English)
  5. Deliver Email and Fax weekly reports to parents, teachers, students and staff in up to 30 European, Asian and African languages
  6. Receive update/attendance forms that are sent by Fax or Scanned. These form are similar to SIMS's OMR sheets. Please ask for a sample form
  7. Bar-code, Smart-card, Fingerprint, RFID and other biometric readers/technologies to identify students, teachers, parents, staff, visitors and assets
  8. Canteen2000 where students, teachers and staff are identified by fingerprint readers. Parents can monitor and control their children' purchases over the Internet
  9. Library2000 where parents can monitor when their children use the library, and the books they borrow. Students are alerted when books they reserve become available
  10. Access2000 is an access control system that allows authorised users to enter selected rooms

Some of our competitors offer interface to one or few of the above. Very few manufacturers and suppliers anywhere in the world have the resources, knowhow and technology to offer all the features that we do in a single application. We don't know of any. Those that have this technology and capability (like IBM and Unisys) do not offer solutions to schools. If they did, they would charge exorbitant prices. Such giant companies do not offer the flexibility, adaptability and support that schools need, as they adapt to changing circumstances. Our competitors will say, many of these features that we offer are not necessary. What else can they possibly say?

With School2000 our clients get the very best at affordable prices, due to superior technology
. Don't accept the argument that high technology is always more expensive. You only have to look at Mobile phones, which are now more affordable than land lines. There is no need to settle for less. Products that might restrict you in future will render your investment and training wasted. Our technology and ability to integrate eliminates obsolescence, preserves your investment, reduces workload for teaches & staff, whilst increasing parent satisfaction

Modules that make up School2000 applications are developed in a mix of Assembler, Java, JSP, Visual Basic and C sharp, using databases like PostgreSQL and Oracle, in a mix of Windows and Linux operating environments that transcends the technology available even to most large and well established companies. Oracle provides 256-bit encryption. Integrated applications presently work with Windows PCs and Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox. It can be ported to other operating systems and browsers
